B/W Photography } | San Francisco, CA

Here is a quick one from the city of San Francisco... The last time I was there shooting an engagement session
with a future bride and groom, we were suddenly overtaken by a freak rainstorm and found ourselves sprinting
8 blocks to the car! By the time we got to the car we were drenched! Luckily, this photograph was not made on
that day, but on a cold day in front of the Ferry building in San Francisco. Enjoy!

3 Trees { B/W Photography } | Santa Rosa, CA

In the future I'm going to be featuring black and white photographs that I've shot all over Santa Rosa,
Sonoma County, San Francisco, Marin... well just about anywhere and everywhere! It may be a personal
image like the above photograph, or it may be a photograph that I made while at a wedding or engagement
session. Sometimes I will feature 1 photograph or some times several. I do know this is going to be a lot of
fun though.

This photograph was made just this evening. I took the family out to go and look at Christmas lights in one of
the local neighborhoods of Santa Rosa. It was cold, but a lot of fun. I saw these three trees across the street from
the house that we were viewing and the light coming from the street lamp caught my eye. Anyway, I shot it in color
but in my mind I was thinking black and white photography the whole time. Hope you like it!

Ina and Jeff | Married!

Here are several of my favorites from Jeff and Ina's Wedding! They got married a few weeks back, but
I've been so busy, that I've not had a chance to post. I had Kristy, from Wreckless Photography along for the ride and we
had a blast spending the day with Jeff and Ina.

A good portion of Ina's family flew in from Germany to be at the wedding. Because they wanted to be able to spend a good amount of time with the family, they elected to do most of their photos after the reception. The reception was a ton of fun and peaked when the group of German's all disappeared at once only to return wearing white t-shirts with images of Germany ironed  on. They also brought along several large umbrella's and a songbook from which they serenaded the bride and groom. At the end of the singing they decided to open up all the umbrella's. It was amazing and insane at the same time and I loved every moment of it.

Ellinor and Tim | Engaged!

Tim lives in Novato. Ellinor lives in Norway. Not one of the several cities in the U.S. called Norway. She lives in the country known for Fjord's and symbolist painter Edvard Munch. The real Norway.

Tim met Ellinor, when he was attending a friends wedding. Tim was sitting a row behind Ellinor waiting for some friends. When his friends showed up, they didn't have enough room for them all, so Tim moved up a row. He sat down right next to Ellinor. They talked and found that they had similar stories, Tim even jokingly asked Ellinor to marry him. One day later, Ellinor was on a plane back to Norway. Two weeks later, Tim had bought a plane ticket to Norway. He spent some time getting to know Ellinor and the country. He was smitten. A few months later they were engaged!

Ellinor was recently out visiting and planning their wedding which will take place in Novato in September! We shot these photos at the Novato Boys School.
